In Spring 2024 (Janaury - June 2024) I studied abroad at University College London in the United Kingdom. At UCL I came over as an affiliate math student, studying MATH0053 Abstract Algebra, MATH0058 Computational Methods, and NEUR0017 Visual Neuroscience. I stayed at UCL accomodation Frances Gardner House, near King's Cross. I had active participation in Sci-Fi and Fantasy society at UCL, attending weekly board game and movie nights, and going to the pub afterwards (often at the different pubs and bars UCL had on campus). I also west to other events, such as concerts and shows at the Bloomsbury Theatre. My first excursion outside London was to Oxford for a day trip. I road on Chiltern Railways (which was incredibly slow!). In March my mom came over from the US. We went to south France to Avignon and Marseille. We also toured some parts of London, like the Tower of London, as well as Canterbury. In April I went on a trip to Amsterdam. After Amsterdam, I took a overnight train on Deutsche Bahn to Berlin. Unfortunately, it broke down shortly after leaving and I and other passengers werse stranded overnight. Thankfully someone played the piano to make it more bearable. I went to Berlin afterwards via trains the next day. In May I took the train from London to Edinburgh. I took a day trip to Glasgow. I flew back to London. I flew to Dublin, then took the train to Belfast. At the end of May I flew to Paris. I visited the Eiffel Tower. I took a day trip to Versailles. I took another day trip to Rouen in Normandy. I took a day trip to Sceaux. I took the Eurostar to Brussels afterwards, getting back to London in June.
